The general meeting of the Estonian Powerlifting Federation took place in Tallinn on 17 December 2005.
Representatives of 11 clubs attended.
A seminar was held as part of the meeting, organized by Dr. Moonika Viigimäe, head of the Estonian Anti-Doping Centre. All attendees were able to ask questions related to the seminar, and they were answered. We thank Dr. Viigimäe here.
There was a change in the EJTL leadership. The general meeting unanimously decided to support the board’s proposal to replace longtime board member Jaan Kärner with Kaido Vahesalu, head of SK Sportkunda.
The EJTL chose the following as the best of the year:
Best powerlifter 2005 Aivo Nurmine (TÜASK)
Best female powerlifter 2005 – Inna Terasmaa (TÜASK)
Best junior powerlifter 2005 Arvo Kaljapulk (TÜ ASK)
Best bench presser 2005 Kaido Leesmann (Tall. Politsei SS)
Best coach 2005 Jaan Salu (SK Jõumees)
Best club 2005 University of Tartu Academic Sports Club

Lilian Matonina, for a successful sports year
