European fitness championships 2012 results: Estonians win 5 golds and 2 silvers
Athletic Fitness: Esta Pilt takes silver
The first European Athletic Fitness championships were a great success. Representing Estonia in the men’s Athletic Fitness – 175cm category, Oleg Anissimov placed VI. In the men’s +175cm category, Kristo Kauder, who placed VI in the category, competed alongside Kristjan Oras, whose excellent rowing time of 2.57.8min earned him a small gold medal in the rowing event; he finished V overall. In women’s Athletic Fitness, Esta Pilt finished an impressive II behind Sweden’s Helena Fornen!

Egle Eller-Nabi placed V in bikini fitness
Facing tough competition, Egle Eller-Nabi competed in the first major bikini fitness event of her career. There were 14 beautiful women in Egle’s category. The Estonian caught the judges’ attention in the preliminary round and qualified for the finals on 13 May, where she earned a commendable fifth place.

Estonian bodybuilders and fitness athletes have won a total of 5 golds and 2 silvers at European championships this spring season
The European championships in women’s fitness, bikini fitness, men’s fitness and Athletic Fitness took place on 12.-13. May in Zagreb, Croatia. Estonia was represented at the championships by Oleg Anissimov, Natalia Nazarenko-Kiivikas, Egle Eller-Nabi, Kristo Kauder and Kristjan Oras.
Russia topped the team standings at these championships, with Ukraine taking second place and Slovakia third. Estonia finished 4th out of 30 countries in the team standings!
