Margus Silbaum wins silver at the European Powerlifting Championships

Margus Silbaum won a powerlifting silver medal at the European Championships in the -93kg class, while Elar Kraav took deadlift silver with 355kg.

Margus Silbaum — European powerlifting silver, Elar Kraav — deadlift silver!

At this year’s European Powerlifting Championships in Ukraine, the Estonian national team achieved remarkable results! Margus Silbaum once again proved his class and won the silver medal in the -93kg weight class with a total of 905kg! Silbaum also took a “small” bronze in the squat and gold in the deadlift. Margus squatted 340kg, bench-pressed 220kg and deadlifted 345kg. Silbaum’s European deadlift record of 352.5 kg also still stands.

Elar Kraav also delivered great results, winning the silver medal in the deadlift with 355kg! First place in the deadlift went to the representative of Luxembourg, who pulled exactly the same as Elar but ranked higher because of a slightly lower body weight. Kraav squatted 355 kg, a personal record, bench-pressed 215 and finished with a total of 925 kg, which earned 6th place in the weight class.

Congratulations!
