TRX training – an effective challenge for your body
What is TRX training, really?

The TRX® Suspesion Trainer (hereafter: TRX®) is a training tool invented in the US Navy, in which your own body weight serves as the resistance during exercises. TRX® lets you safely do more than 70 exercises to improve strength, flexibility, balance and mobility.
The equipment consists of one anchor strap, which can be attached to gym equipment or, at home, slung over the top of a door so you can train there. In the US, using the equipment in parks and outdoors is also widespread, which is rarely seen here, if at all.
The anchor strap in turn splits into two equal straps, whose length can be adjusted shorter or longer depending on the nature of the exercise. At the end of each strap there is a handle and a loop, where you can place your feet, for example, to do an abdominal muscle exercise.

The philosophy of TRX® training
No part of the body is a unit on its own. Even the simplest movement engages different muscle groups at the same time, such as the leg muscles, trunk muscles, upper arm muscles and so on. The body is made up of muscles in an unbroken chain, so every movement we make is an exercise for the whole body. That is exactly why TRX® training uses a variety of exercises that challenge the whole body.
Exercise 2: TRX push-up
An effective piece of training equipment you shouldn’t underestimate
You definitely shouldn’t underestimate this piece of equipment or assume that a workout with two straps can’t be all that hard. The workout is as hard as your own body makes it, and on top of that you are constantly stabilising your own weight through your core at the same time.
The best thing about this equipment is that you can invent and combine exercises endlessly yourself. That way you can keep creating new ways to improve your training programme and keep progressing, because the body and muscles need some variety every now and then.
Exercise 3: TRX split squat
Who is TRX® training for?
TRX® training is great for anyone who wants to start or restart training, improve their training programme, break out of a routine, or give their body a new and exciting challenge.
TRX® also suits practically all sports (golf, athletics, martial arts, tennis, motorsport, football, etc.) as supplementary training, since it allows you to do practical, specific exercises to improve results in the sport in question.
It suits people who are short on time, because scheduling is an important factor when planning training. TRX® frees you from that problem, since you can plan your workouts independently of a club’s training schedule.
Good results have also been achieved in recovery from surgery, in reducing differences in tone between the left and right sides of the body, in fighting overweight, and so on.
